+What's Microsoft Teams?
Microsoft Teams is an Office 365 application used by Balıkesir University to support and deliver distance education activities.
+How can I access Microsoft Teams?
You can access Microsoft Teams through a web browser (such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or other supported browsers) or by downloading and installing the desktop application.
You can also use Microsoft Teams on your mobile devices by downloading the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

+Do I need to register for Microsoft Teams?
No. Microsoft Teams accounts are automatically created by the Balıkesir University Distance Education Application and Research Center (BAUZEM) for all students with an active enrollment at the University. Therefore, you do not need to create or register for an account yourself.
+What are my Microsoft Teams username and password?
When you sign in to Microsoft Teams for the first time, use the following credentials. After your initial sign-in, you will be required to create a new password.
User Name: studentnumber@ogr.balikesir.edu.tr
(Example:202170201010@ogr.balikesir.edu.tr)
Password: An uppercase B, followed by the first six digits of your Turkish National ID Number, and an asterisk (*). (Example: B123456*)
+I forgot My Password. How can I reset it?
When you signed in to Microsoft Teams for the first time, you were asked to verify either your mobile phone number or a secondary email address.
If you completed either of these verification methods, you can reset your password by clicking "Can't access your account?" on the Microsoft sign-in page and following the on-screen instructions.
If you did not complete either verification method, you should contact the Student Affairs Office of your faculty and request a password reset.

+Why does the system ask for my phone number and an alternate email address when I sign in for the first time?
When you sign in for the first time, Microsoft will ask you to provide a mobile phone number and an alternate email address (such as Gmail or Outlook).
This information is required to verify your account and to enable the "Forgot your password?" feature. If you forget your password in the future, you will be able to reset it only if you have previously completed one of these verification methods.
+Why am I seeing the message "We couldn't find an account with that username"?
This message is usually displayed because your username has been entered incorrectly. A common mistake is typing org instead of ogr in the email address.
Incorrect: studentnumber@org.balikesir.edu.tr
Correct: studentnumber@ogr.balikesir.edu.tr
+My Surname has changed. How can I update it in Microsoft Teams?
Users cannot change their own first or last names in Microsoft Teams. If your surname has changed (for example, due to a legal name change), please contact the Balıkesir University Distance Education Application and Research Center (BAUZEM) by emailing
uzem@balikesir.edu.tr or sending a message via
Whatsapp Be sure to include your

+My Phone Number has changed. How can I update it in Microsoft Teams?
If your mobile phone number has changed, please contact the Balıkesir University Distance Education Application and Research Center (BAUZEM) by emailing
uzem@balikesir.edu.tr or sending a message to our
Whatsapp support line.
Please include your
student number in your message. Our Center will update your account information accordingly.
+I have signed In, but My Courses are not visible. What should I do??
If you have successfully completed your course registration in the Student Information System (OBS) but no courses appear under the Teams section, please contact the instructor of the course. If you are unable to reach the instructor, contact your academic advisor or your faculty and request to be added to the course.
+How Can I take my exams?
+Are course video recordings deleted?
Due to storage limitations, course recordings are retained online for 180 days. After this period, the recordings are permanently deleted and are no longer accessible to either students or instructors.
We therefore recommend downloading the recordings of any missed or important lectures to your computer as soon as they become available.
