Balıkesir Üniversitesi

During the 2025–2026 Academic Year, certain courses designated by the academic departments at Balıkesir University will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. You can obtain information about which of your courses will be offered through distance education by contacting your academic department.

Microsoft Teams accounts for all students who are active in the Student Information System (OBS) are created by our Center.

When you sign in to Microsoft Teams for the first time, use the following credentials. After your initial sign-in, you will be required to create a new password.
User Name: studentnumber@ogr.balikesir.edu.tr (Example:202170201010@ogr.balikesir.edu.tr)
Password: An uppercase B, followed by the first six digits of your Turkish National ID Number, and an asterisk (*). (Example: B123456*)

For international students admitted through the YOS (International Student Admission) process, the passport number may be recorded in the Student Information System (OBS) instead of a Turkish National ID Number. If you are unable to sign in using the standard password format, please try using the first six characters of your passport number in place of the Turkish National ID Number when entering your temporary password. (Example: BPSPRN3*) If you continue to experience sign-in issues, please contact the Student Affairs Office of your faculty and request that your password be reset.

Next, when you see the “More information required” screen, verify your account by adding either your mobile phone number or an alternate email address. This verification is important because it enables you to reset or change your password yourself in the future if needed.

You will be added to your Microsoft Teams courses by the instructor of each course. If you have successfully signed in to Microsoft Teams but no courses appear under the Teams section, please contact the course instructor through Microsoft Teams or the Student Information System (OBS). If you are unable to reach the instructor, please contact your academic advisor or your faculty and request to be added to the course.
